This week as been a bit different than the other two weeks because this week it was raining. The average of about a foot and 3 inch waters of manoa stream became an astounding 3 + feet. The land next to the stream were flooded. Waters that was once clear as fresh water has now been dirtied from dirt that has been picked up from the fast current. Amother interesting observation is that a lot of ducks came to the river on that day when the river was overflowing. There were probably twice as much ducks this week than any other week.From this you can make a hypothesis. If the water levels of manoa stream rises then a lot of duckes willl gather because the rainwater from the rain collects high in the mountains which forms manoa stream will bring al lthe nutrients from the mountains down into the vallley where the ducks could hunt.Since there If there are stagnant areas of manoa stream where the current cant get to that area then there would be little to no organisms in that area because the current of the stream carries nutrients from high in the mountains down into the low valley.

The environment definitely take a part in natural selection. There are factors like the weather. For instance, even though the current of the water brings nutrients down from high in the mountains to down into the valley the water current is still very dangerous. All the small organisms would have a lot of trouble trying to get from a certain place to the other. So the current and the level for the water in manoa stream is based on the weather. If it is raining then the water and current level would become stronger. Another environmentl pressures is the temperature probably because i don't think most of the organisms would survive if the stream suddenly dried out because some of the animals like the tadpole can only survive when there is water. The ducks could fly so they aren't as in much trouble but they still are in trouble.
